REDEDICATION MASS FOR THE NEWLY RENOVATED NY ANNUNCIATION CHURCH SUNDAY, MARCH 24th 2019 (10 AM*)

On Sunday, March 24th, 2019 (10 AM*) the leader of the Diocese of Brooklyn, His Excellency Bishop NICHOLAS DIMARZIO, will celebrate a historic rededication Mass for the newly renovated Church of the Annunciation.

The Mass will be attended by the Republic of Lithuania’s Ambassador to the US, ROLANDAS KRIŠČIŪNAS, the acting Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York, GITANA SKRIPKAITĖ, the President of the Lithuanian-American Community of the US, ARVYDAS URBONAVIČIUS, and Msgr. EDMUNDAS PUTRIMAS (Delegate for Lithuanian Catholics Abroad of the Lithuanian Bishops’ Conference). SIMONA MINNS will be our soloist during the Mass.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR US TO URGE ALL LITHUANIANS AND LITHUANIAN ORGANIZATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS HISTORIC MASS !

WE URGE EVERYONE ATTENDING THIS VERY SPECIAL MASS TO WEAR THE TRADITIONAL LITHUANIAN COSTUME (‟TAUTINIAI RŪBAI”) OR OTHER APPROPRIATE SYMBOLS OF OUR LITHUANIAN HERITAGE. LET US SHOW THE LEADER OF THE DIOCESE OF BROOKLYN, BISHOP DIMARZIO, THAT ANNUNCIATION CHURCH, WHICH HAS BEEN ATTENDED BY LITHUANIANS SINCE 1914, HAS SPECIAL MEANING AND IS BELOVED BY OUR LITHUANIAN COMMUNITY !

* ALTHOUGH THIS MASS WILL BEGIN AT 11 AM, WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO ARRIVE VERY EARLY AND TO BE SEATED IN THE CHURCH, SINCE THE CHURCH WILL DEFINITELY BE FILLED TO CAPACITY. IN ADDITION TO THE LITHUANIAN COMMUNITY, THE SPANISH AND ITALIAN COMMUNITIES WILL ALSO BE PARTICIPATING, SO PLEASE ARRIVE EXTREMELY EARLY ! WE SINCERELY URGE EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY TO ATTEND SO THAT WE WILL BE VERY VISIBLE AND DEMONSTRATE THAT ANNUNCIATION IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LITHUANIANS !

OUR ABILITY TO SUSTAIN OUR RICH LITHUANIAN RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE IS BASED SOLELY ON YOUR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION ! SO PLEASE BE SURE TO JOIN US ON MARCH 24th !!!
